Rating Process

Our process is designed to ensure that all ESG ratings are based on the highest standards of independence and analytical rigour. The rating process commences with capturing data from publicly available sources, followed by a multi-layered decision-making process. All ratings are assigned by a professional and objective rating committee.

A draft ESG report is shared with the rated issuer as part of the rating process, giving the rated entity an opportunity to highlight factual inconsistencies or to appeal, if required.Crisil ESG continuously monitors the rating of an issuer. It reviews each of the published ESG ratings annually or, if required, more frequently.
